Julien T.-Lessard is Executive Vice-President (VP) at Beaudoin Canada. As a duty, he ensures the growth of the company and the implementation of corporate strategy. In addition to these duties, he serves as construction director specializing in preconstruction. Organized and logical, he ensures construction projects are thoroughly planned so that client’s objectives are achieved.

As a champion of research and development, he develops and brings new technologies and work methods to Beaudoin with conviction. In 2012, he established a collaborative project management platform that Beaudoin has used for all its projects ever since. He also contributed building data modeling to the company’s arsenal, which enables virtual construction before the actual construction itself.

Q: What value do you identify with the most?
A: Innovation. We contribute to the growth of Beaudoin Canada by sharing our ideas to improve the company’s operations. We find ingenious and creative solutions to problems. We are open-minded in the face of change.

Having started as an intern with the company, Julien has then held several positions since he first joined in 2007. He served as a project manager before being appointed Assistant General Manager in 2016. Thanks to his vision, he was promoted to the General Manager position. Following a restructuring resulting from the growth of the company, Julien assumed the position of Executive VP in 2021. He has been a partner in the company since 2017.

Imbued with great ambition, Julien has an impressive academic background. He first obtained his college diploma in civil engineering in 2007 at Cégep de l’Outaouais. Afterward, he completed his bachelor’s degree in engineering at the Université de Sherbrooke in 2011. In 2013, he completed his master’s in engineering management at the University of Ottawa. Julien is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and holds a certificate as a project management professional (PMP).

Involved in the construction industry, Julien sat as a director of the Corporation des entrepreneurs générale du Québec (CEGQ) for two years before his appointment as vice-chairman of the board in 2020.
